I'm Salim.

I grew up between two Zanzibars — the clove-scented calm of my grandfather's spice farm in the interior, and the wooden-shuttered chaos of my mother's neighbourhood in Stone Town.

I started guiding at nineteen, mostly leading day-trippers off cruise ships. Fifteen years later I run Zanchoyo — a small team of guides and drivers, every one of us Zanzibari, every one of us paid fairly and directly by you.

Book with us and there's no middleman. The dollar you pay for a tour buys school fees for our kids and stock for the fisherman who catches your lunch. That's a promise, not marketing.
